We've become very good at measuring success. I'm interested in how we build a good life.
For years, I thought my life was a series of disconnected projects. A Buddhist monastery. A technology startup. A 470km river expedition. Social enterprises in Colombia. Books. Films. Global stages. Fatherhood. Looking back, I realise I was asking the same question in different places:
What actually makes a good life?
Everything I build—whether it's a film, an essay, a business, a podcast or a piece of software—is another attempt to explore that question.
I don't believe ambition is the enemy. I believe the challenge is building extraordinary things without sacrificing the person doing the building.
If that question resonates with you, you're in the right place.
